Digital Hubs and Interactive Presentations with Office 365

Join us on Thursday 12th July 2018 as part of The Digital Culture Festival – Staff and Students will be able to learn how to create Digital Hubs and Interactive Presentations  further details outlined below:

Time: 12.30pm – 1.45pm

Location:  Room J205, Central Saint Martins, Kings Cross

Duration: 75 minutes

Pre-requisites:

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is useful but not essential
  • Option to bring an internet enabled device with you. We will be using a Windows device for demonstration purposes but will refer to other operating systems. PC’s will be available in the room
  • It would be helpful if you have attended the first session “Office 365 – Let’s get connected”, or have already been working with Office 365

Learning objectives:

  • Discover, and practice using, 2 of tools in Office 365 which allow you to connect with your teams and with your students

– Discover Teams – a single digital hub for working with colleagues and students

– Learn how to use Sway to create presentations, newsletters and web based content

Topics include:

  • Teams
  • Using Teams for a single digital workspace
  • Discover Shared Notebooks, Planning tools, shared access to files
  • Easily track communication with your teams and with your students
  • Sway
  • Create interactive multimedia- rich documents on any device
  • Set up your own Sway from scratch ( *Please have a purpose in mind e.g. A planned Newsletter, an event, presenting your syllabus etc* )
  • Transform your Sways with great design using Sway’s in-built design engine
